March 4th, 2005 Around The World In 2.79 Days - Steve Fossett finished, on his first attempt, his round-the-world-no-refueling-nonstop solo flight yesterday. While he was still over California yesterday Fox & Friends was on, where Steve Doocy made the comment that he had never seen a plane like that:
Yeah, me neither. Meet The New Weapon, Same As The Old Weapon - US developing 'pain from a distance' weapon. Funny, I thought we had those already - they're called snipers. And I bet that all told, including training & equipping, snipers will still be more effective and less costly than this thing will ever be. 0.2388 seconds - Beat it! Or, try this game. When are we going to see that at the Winter Olympics? Booze - Jen & I came up with this one on our honeymoon. Very good, very tasty, very fruity.
Molokai Sunset Be careful, though. You don't want to become ebrious or bibacious and end up like this guy. McCain, Feingold, And That Damnable Law Of Theirs - Most everyone else is saying everything possible about how bad it is that McCain-Feingold is going to be applied to the Internet now, perhaps. Let me just add this: This is what happens when you elect people to office that don't respect the foundational law like they should. And yes, I am indicting myself in this, since I have voted for McCain in the past. Unfortunately, you can't always tell what they stand for until they start advocating certain bills once they get to Congress. There's something about that magnificent building brings out the core of people's beliefs, and not always for the best. Fortunately, it sometimes brings out the best. Just not in this case. |
