A Catholic Communion Is Invalidated
Oh for God's sake, literally, abandon your legalism! How perfectly ridiculous, to deny someone a sacrament because of their health condition. Why don't you pray for them and ask God to heal them?

Elmer Bernstein is dead.
He composed the music for The Great Escape and The Magnificent Seven, among other things. I will greatly miss him and his work.

From the front page of today's WSJ:
"New York immigrants are angry at an antiterrorism program that could strip 300,000 of driver's licenses if Social Security numbers don't check out."
I thought the SSN was not supposed to be used for identification. Oh, wait, they can be, according to this (section 42 USC 7, subchapter II, Sec. 405, c-2-C-i).

Again, from the WSJ:
"Sen. Kennedy told Judiciary panel colleagues he was blocked from several flights because his name was on an antiterrorism watch list in error.
Error? Yeah, sure. More likely an embittered Homeland Security worker got tired of the bloviations of the senior instigator from Massachusetts and decided to play a practical joke on him.
