TRON for July 23rd, 2004

Haven't done one of these in a while.

• National: The 9-11 report and executive summary is out. Short version: we didn't imagine terror could be as bad as all that, we did well to go after Al Qaeda, the President was deceived over Iraq but did well anyway, and gosh darn it, mistakes were made. Oh, and reorganize the entire way we collect and distribute intelligence domestically and internationally in the biggest shake-up of the intelligence community since 1947. Now.

  We paid how much for that analysis?

• Entertainment: Fox covers the new comic-book movie. "But critics complain that Berry’s "Catwoman," opening Friday, is over-sexualized, an element they say detracts from the film's girl-power message."
  What? Over-sexed?
  
  Naaahh.... Just goes to show that the Curse of the Bond Women continues (careers tank after appearing in a Bond film).
• Tech: IPv6 has been implemented on the Root DNS Servers. That means there is now plenty of room for possible domains like this and this.
• Sports: the D-Backs still stink this year. Big surprise. Lance Armstrong is poised to win his sixth Tour de France. Again, big surprise. Impressive though.
