The Contradictory Fifth Column

Ugh. CNN had on a "report" this morning on the Senate Intelligence Committee's report on CIA analysis of Iraqi WMD. The report stressed the "fact" that the CIA was "wrong" to claim Iraq had WMD.

CNN then followed with their own report of this story. And they delivered both with a straight face.

Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham announced yesterday that almost two tons of low-enriched uranium and about 1,000 radioactive samples used for research had been removed from Iraq's Tuwaitha Nuclear Center and brought to the United States for security reasons.
This stuff is coming out of the woodwork now. I am willing to bet that by November we will find some large stash somewhere. In the meantime, though, I'll stop the occasional channel flip to Headline "News". I can't afford to replace a broken TV right now. Maybe I'll stop reading the Washington Post, too. Where did they put the uranium story? Page A16.

Disgusting.
