Hello, my name is Al Gore, and I'm a Vitriol-aholic

And to think, this guy could have been President.

Al Gore has compared right-wing media outlets to Nazi Brownshirts.
Scoop New Zealand report
Drudge posting
A little Fisking, just for giggles.

But after the invasion[of Iraq], no ties were found.
Except for that Al Qaeda operative Zarqawi, who was in Iraq before the war and remains there now, causing lots of trouble.

The President was even more brazen. He dismissed all questions about his statements by saying "The reason I keep insisting that there was a relationship between Iraq and Saddam and al Qaeda, because there was a relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda." He provided no evidence.
He didn't need to. His predecessor, your running mate, did. Twice.

The Administration works closely with a network of "rapid response" digital Brown Shirts who work to pressure reporters and their editors for "undermining support for our troops."
Of course, nothing the reporters and editors write or say actually undermines troop support in Al Gore's world. Maureen Dowd, please pick up the white paging phone. Paging Paul Krugman.

By the way, I feel tacitly indicted by his words, but I've never worked closely with the Administration.

Bush and Cheney are spreading purposeful confusion while punishing reporters who stand in the way.
Yeah, those anti-press concentration camps are causing a nasty stink in the air. The repeal of broadcasting licenses is also all too damning.

We are dependent on the media, especially the broadcast media, to never let this [deception] happen again.
Speack for yourself, bucko. I don't depend on boadcast media or print media for my news. Besides, what deception? Bush gives evidence for a terrorist tie, all you do is claim it doesn't exist. In a traditional-rules debate, that would be called ignoring supporting evidence, which is even worse than ignoring an assertion. No wonder you weren't able to convince half the public to vote for you.

Everything that has gone wrong is in one way or another the result of a spectacular and violent clash between the bundle of misconceptions that he gullibly consumed ...
So he's both a master of deception and gullible. I wish Democrats would make up their minds when it comes to deciding if Bush is smart or dumb. They can't have it both ways.

The last time we had a president who had the idea that he was above the law was when Richard Nixon told an interviewer, "When the president does it, that means that it is not illegal...
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky." Or try something more recent, if you find that irrelevant: Clinton had an affair "for the worst possible reason: just because I could. I think that's just about the most morally indefensible reason that anybody could have for doing anything."

It's time for this has-been to stop acting like a two year old. Al, get some dignity, for our sake and yours.
