What Kind Of Bravo Sierra Is This?

This is totally tasteless. Normally, Rachel Lucas is on the ball when it comes to what she writes about, but this crosses the line. Kim du Toit is out of line too, for linking to it and advocating its use. Michael Moore may be a lying sack of bull excrement, but it is wrong to put his image on a pistol target.

This would be the headline of the month in the blogosphere if some nut on Democratic Underground posted the same with GWB in place of Moore. Bush has done nothing to warrant death and neither has Moore. A much more appropriate target would be one of Saddam Hussein, or Osama Bin Laden, but that's been done before, so it's not news. Rachel, Kim, and anyone else who encouraged downloading and using this target should apologize. If you want some targets, use these.

Remember the furor in the media when G. Gordon Liddy drew stick figures and labelled them "Bill" and "Hillary"? Those were stick figures, not actual pictures, and it created rumors that lasted for several years that he wanted to kill the Clintons. This type of media is likely to create a firestorm, with headlines that read "Moore Stalked". Its out of line and completely lacking any semblance of balance.

Sort of like one of Moore's movies.

I think the Michael Moore target is funny. He *is* a liberal sack of offal. And anyway, it's just a paper target! Sure, he might not really deserve a chest or head shot, but maybe a slug through his writing hand wouldn't be such a bad idea.

And with all the verbal vitriol coming from the left, I'm *sure* somebody out there has made up a GWB target.
