Searchy Fun
A little something different for this month's Searchy Fun

I'm going to break Gilby's mould. Instead of listing the top 20 search results that led to MM.net last month, I'll comment on the most interesting. For those who are curious, there was the typical mix of HP laptop disassembly (11.5%), Matthew Maynard (6.8%), and beer commercials (3.7% or so). There was also a spike for Joseph Plumb Martin, the Revolutionary Soldier whose book I reviewed a while ago, as well as a series of searches (1.2%) for World War 1 topics. I'm reading The Doughboys right now, I'll post a review sometime after I finish it. Anyway, without further ado, the more interesting search strings.

maynard in dc, 1 hit, 0.2 %
I never actually made it into DC, but that's another story for another time.

new miller beer commercials, 1 hit, 0.2 %
That's false advertising, Miller is not beer.

hahn beer commercials, 2 hit, 0.5 %
Hilary Hahn, you're press agent called. Something about Miller "beer".

govenator beer, 1 hit, 0.2 %
I wonder if that's low-carb brew. Can't be Miller, whatever it is.

badge lock entry, 1 hit, 0.2 %
Martin Bishop, please pick up the white paging phone.

m1911 hat, 1 hit, 0.2 %
You must be looking for this.

why 9mm over .45, 1 hit, 0.2 %
Because you're either a woman or a pansy. Besides, Kim du Toit says it best.

oil pumps for ford ranger 1 0.2 %
I recommend you check them immediately if your oil pressure gauge starts fluctuating. They're tough to get at, since you have to remove the oil pan, but its worth it.

mil dot reticle for sniping how to use, 1 hit, 0.2 %
1) Sight target.
2) Estimate target size im meters.
3) Measure target in mil-dots.
4) Convert from mil-dots to range: target in meters * 1000 / size in mil dots = range in meters.
5) Aim appropriately and fire.
Of course, shooting at your target had better be legal under the circumstances. You are responsible for your weapon and its dischargings.

That's all folks, more next month. Don't forget, I am trying to bomb Google to link spam museum to my spam museum.
