Weekly TRON

• International: The Crackpot's Jackpot has been found. Now it looks like Kerry has no platform to run on - oh, wait, that's the same as before.
• National: Environmentalists are endangering U.S. Security by using wild claims of ecosystem destruction & extinction as arguments against establishing roads along the border to patrol for illegal entry. At issue is the Sonoran Pronghorn, whose population has been dropping over the last few years, but not due to encroachment. The government indicates drought & rain are the leading factors in population variance, and Mexican policies on population control aren't helping, either.
• Local: A recycling plant fire is under control. How is that for environmental irony?
• Sports: there's an NBA championship going on and I don't care, a hockey championship going on and I care a bit, and baseball has recently started (whoop-de-doo). The UA football team is still expected to lose frequently and badly. It may not be news, but I had to put something in.
• Business: Google has filed for its IPO. The second bubble has officially begun inflating.
• Science: On June 8, 2004, Venus will transit the surface of the Sun. This is a once every 122 year occurence and a twice every 243 years. Get your viewing in now.
