Garden Harvest

I have a garden in the backyard. We have some carrots and garlic and mint, as well as some newly planted garden bean seeds. I was out there digging around this morning, and lo and behold, the carrots were getting big enough to pull (at least from the part that could be seen from aboveground). So I pulled the largest one.

Jennifer seems to think there is a farmer in me. Maybe in spirit, but not in fruit.

Yet.

I thought you said it was a carrot?

It IS a carrot.

I pulled the rest this morning. There are, out of the 20 that came out of the ground, about 2 that are normally shaped. The rest are all stubbies like this one.

I'm telling you, they are the ugliest things to come out of the ground since Cain's sacrifice.
