The Definition of Irony

Report: Atkins Was Obese, Had Heart Disease
From the article:

Dr. Robert Atkins, whose popular diet stresses protein-rich meat and cheese over carbohydrates, weighed 258 pounds at his death and had a history of heart disease, a newspaper reported Tuesday.
This is, without a doubt, the most unusual thing I've heard from the crazy-diet-news-front in quite some time. Though the article talks about a viral infection and the resulting effects on his heart, it drips with irony nonetheless. I wonder how long before this news will affect the sales of his carb-free products.

I heard another interesting factoid around this. The people who are really pushing this story. I looked at several websites and no one is saying WHO leaked this story.

This article suggests it was an opponent organization (Vegans) who want to dispell Atkin's Meat-eating diet.

(And it gets worse, PeTA is behind this too.)
