55-Card Pickup: SADDAM FRICKIN HUSSEIN!

Hallelujiah, Praise the Lord! We got him! There is much I could say here, most of it echoing the sentiments on other blogs and TV channels, but I will constrain myself:

  • This is good for both the Iraqis and their neighbors, as well as the Americans defending them and establishing a democratic republic there.
  • He needs a fair trial, but I have no doubt he will be found guilty. Since it is almost certain he will be found responsible for the murder of several thousand, he needs to be executed upon a guilty verdict.
  • Who's distracted from the war on terror? GWB, who is ultimately responsible for finding this instigator of terror, or the Angry Left, who wants everyone to forget about the WoT and concentrate on the economy? (As a hint to the Angry Left, that might not be such a good idea.

Oh, one more thing, I'd like your opinion:

    Saddam Hussein looks most like:
    a) Karl Marx
    b) Jerry Garcia
    c) Rasputin
    d) Joe Stalin with a beard

One of my roomates suggested Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson.

    Sorry, not an option.

Definitely Stalin with a beard. Their features are very similar. Stonewall Jackson looks more like Rasputin because they both have more angular features. While it's close between Saddam and the other three, I say Stalin.
