40 $#@* Percent!

GOOD GOD.

My company is blessed enough to be able to hand out bonuses at this point in the year and the government decides to take 40%. Apparently I'm supposed to get it all back after the taxes are filed, but DAMN! If a majority of that money was going towards the military, homeland security, and law enforcement, I wouldn't be so angry. But I know that some of it is going towards a retirement fund I will never see.

Those jerks. It's time to make Social Security an opt-in program. It's also time to stop punishing companies and employees for doing well enough to give out extra.

Ah yes, since its a Bonus, that makes you RICH.

Therefore the Government considers you a high tax bracket for that particular payment.

Aint it grand?

My $3000.00 Bonus was trimmed down to a pety $1900.
