English is a decaying language
The Decay of English as a Language

"This vertical explorer bar actually consumes the RSS feed ..."
"More voluntary evacuations were ordered Sunday as the Aspen Fire crept closer to Ventana Canyon."
Remember the George Carlin routine about how language changes? "Sometime in my life, toilet paper became bathroom tissue. Shell Shock became post-traumatic stress disorder."

I can now say that I am observing the same thing. "Voluntary" has somehow obtained the same meaning as "Ordered", and "reads" has become "consumes".

Just a thought.
