The Kel-Tec SU-16 Rifle
I went to the gun shop at lunch today, as I am wont to do, and was drooling over the CVA .50 caliber frontstuffer at West of the Pecos. I would like it as a wedding gift, but Jennifer won’t budge. Then I went next door to Jensen’s and saw the Kel-Tec SU-16. Its a .223 caliber semi-auto magazine fed fun gun. It can hold magazines in the stock and eats rounds from M-16 standard mags. It’s light as a feather and has an integrated Picatinny Rail, so you know its built for plinking. At a shade under $580, It’s a little expensive, but quite a bit cheaper than the M-16/AR-15 it can call its father.
Oh, and did I mention that its gas-operated mechanism uses a piston instead of the M-16 style gas-blowback system? Makes for easier maintenance.
Yeah, its on my wish list.
