No, I voted for Huckabee, like I said I would. But I was serious about the inner libertarian thing.
Seriously, where did the blog go? I was addicted, you hung me out to dry.
Hanged, and you can blame iPower for the crappy lack of a blog. Back in December they were unable to charge my card for services, but failed to tell me about it. They closed down the blog January 23rd. I tried for three weeks to figure out what was wrong, but didn’t get a straight answer out of them until last week. Hence the lack of posting for almost a month. I’ve since switched over to hosting on Dotster, my registrar for MM.net.
Are you going to post more now that you’re back?
I will try, and to make the effort actually worthwhile, I will adopt a writing schedule similar to what I had going between January and May 2005, where I write on a particular topic once a day and throw in anything else I can think of, sort of like how Lileks does things. Topics are being accepted for consideration.
Any other changes I should know about?
Yeah, I managed to import all the old Greymatter posts into the WordPress system, so you should be able to search for the old stuff now. There are some errors, and I’m going through them slowly, fixing things as I go along, but things should be generally ok. The stuff from January to May 2005 is linked up above. Finally, I’ve generated a public PGP key, if you wish to use it to communicate.
About that libertarian thing…
Yes, I’m serious. I actually thought about leaving the Republican party, given how they treated Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee in favor of John McCain and Mitt Romney. Then Jennifer reminded me that I haven’t taken part in the party at the local level, so my ‘defection’ would have had no noticeable effect, and I wouldn’t have the moral high ground to stand on. I was headed for the Constitution Party, FYI. The Democrats and the Libertarians get my vote the same day they get my guns – one’s socialist, the other ignores the need for self-government. I can’t vote for either.

For some reason I cannot get your RSS feed to work since the change.
Its putting in an extra line break at the top of the xml file. Anyone have any experience with this?
OK, seems that I had to turn off all the plugins, then switch to the default theme. I slowly turned everything back on, and then returned to the Deep Blue theme, and the RSS feed still works. Must’ve been the magic smoke.
