BBC NEWS:Telescopes ‘worthless’ by 2050
This is a ridiculous article, but their conclusions are probably right. Ground-based telescopes will probably be much diminished in their importance to visual astronomy in 40 or 50 years, but not because of global warming, contrails, or other nonsensical foolishness. Population sprawl, the encroaching of cities upon astronomical observatories, will doom them far more with light pollution than will “global warming”.
