Comet C/2001 Q4 NEAT

Jennifer and I went out Saturday night and observed Comet C/2001 Q4 NEAT from a site just north of the Catalina Mountains.

As a short aside, whatever happened to naming comets after people instead of satellites? Yeah, the satellite found it, but isn’t there a program director or some low-level engineer that could be honored?
