I have worn a K.I.A. black wrist band with his name on it for years. I never knew the story behind what happen to him until I read your listing. I also think that he is dead, But I beleave that we left people behind after the war. When I was over there in 1972 and then it ended in 1973 the rumor was that there were P.O.W’S. in other countries around Veitnam and in China. To this day I think that was ture. U.S.A.F. Retired

I remember the Spectre song when I was stationed at NKP. I’d made some friends on the crew of one of the ships, and they gave me a cassette recording of the song. Unfortunately, someone stole that tape from me and I lost the song, but I still remember the tune.

It was Stalin, not Lenin. Lenin died in 1924. Stalin’s comment was in response to the German’s criticism of Soviet tanks, which were of “poor quality”. Stalin’s comment followed.

As primers on engineering failures, one should read Henry Petroski’s two books: “To Engineer is Human: The Role of Failure in Successful Design” and “Design Paradigms: Case Histories of Error and Judgement in Engineering”.
